SAIL 2025 Featured Presenter

I am thrilled to announce I will be a featured presenter at SAIL 2025: "Weaving the Arts into the Curriculum" with the Alabama Arts Alliance.

I will be leading two workshop presentations:

• Bringing Theatre to Life

  • This workshop will focus on creative drama & movement integration techniques for K-12 Educators. This session will provide methods of instruction for creative drama and movement, with attention given to integration tactics in core subject areas. We will focus on our mission to develop life skills through stage skills, theatre games and movement exercises to center students as well as readers theatre techniques that support the Alabama Literacy Act. We will also work on movement-centered skills such as storytelling through tableaux. This session is designed to expose educators in all subject areas to engage in creative drama and movement practices and methods for inclusion in multiple core subject areas. Example lesson plans and reader's theatre scripts will be provided. 

• Musical Connections to Core Curriculum

  • This workshop offers K–12 educators practical tools and accessible techniques for integrating music into core academic subjects. Designed with non-musicians in mind, this hands-on session empowers teachers to confidently incorporate musical elements into their own content areas, enriching student engagement and reinforcing learning across disciplines. Participants will explore cross-curricular strategies, engage in collaborative activities, and leave with ready-to-use examples tailored to various grade levels and subjects.
